POUILLY-FUISSÉ Cuvée « Terres de Fuissé  » New 2005 Vintage

Our Pouilly-Fuissé « TERRES DE FUISSE » is a blending of two small plots of old vines, one on the East-facing slope of the village of Fuissé, the other on the plateau of white marl (type of limestone) characteristic of the lower part of the village. A bottle that may be savoured now but which will take some years before it fully blooms into a rich and mineral « Fuissé ».

2008 is straightforward, digestible, and capable of a good 2 to 3 years of bottle ageing.

	Technical notes:
		Age of vines: 2 plots, one 40 years old, one 70 years old
		Surface : 0.40 ha (1 acre)
		Soil: Clay and limestone. The older plot lies on particularly white limestone. The other East-facing up the hill on shallow pebbly soil
		Altitude : 200 - 350 meters (650 - 1150 ft).
		Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months
