Climat « Les MURES » is without a doubt the best terroir of Pouilly Loché. The clay and limestone soil is deep red because of iron oxide. Let us insist : it is a Great Terroir ! « local old people » here  use the verb « pouillote » about it in reference to Pouilly. Here is a rich mineral and never-ending  wine on fruit yet needing 2 to 3 years before it comes fully to the fore, even if 2008 is already flattery.

		Soil: Clay and limestone. Facing East. Deep red soil with high iron oxide content . Altitude : 250 meters (820 ft)
		Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months
