POUILLY-VINZELLES Climat « Les Longeays » 

« Les Longeays » is one of the three most interesting Climats (areas) in the appellation. As for our vines in the Climat « Les Quarts », our plot « Les Longeays » faces South-East in mid-slope, but the soil is deeper. That character gives early maturity to the grapes here, year after year.

2008 is somehow reminiscent of 2005. Dense, mineral, almost minty. Yo ! What a bottle of wine !!

		Age of vines: 27 years
		Surface : 0.55 ha (1.35 acres)
		Soil: clay and limestone, very high red iron oxide on Bajocian. Facing East, South-East.
		Altitude : 250 metres (820 ft)
		Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months
