Yes ! We now make Red with a capital R from a superb terroir. How exciting ! Breath in the atmosphere : the hillside of Leynes (25%) facing full South at an altitude of 350 metres (1150 feet)… Here the old-style small berries of Gamay vibrate in a universe of granit. It is Magic ! This is how one definitely feels when, at the top of the plot this beautiful Beaujolais country reveals itself, a model of perfection. Everything seemed idyllic, amidst the music of nightingales whose rythm was beat by red poppies close to the Gamay grapes, until the terrible hail storm of August 7th 2008 came to destroy 90% of bunches. Thus Bien-Venu became Petit, the time of a Vintage.
