POUILLY-FUISSÉ Climat « Le Clot Reyssié  » New 2005 Vintage

« LE CLOS REYSSIÉ » is without a doubt the most famous terroir in the village of Chaintré (one of the four villages producing Pouilly-Fuissé). We selected a 60 year old plot in the lower part of the East slope of the Clos, on rather deep soil on a vein of very hard limestone. There again, the village typicity shines. One feels the roundness of the wine and citrus filling one’s mouth. A wine to discover.

Almost 10% of grapes were affected by noble rot in 2008. As if it was round and filled with citrus fruit. A feminine wine ?

		Age of vines: over 60 years old
		Surface : 0.40 ha (0,86 acre)
		Soil: Clay and limestone. Facing East. The lower part of the slope is rich but sitting on hard limestone.Altitude : 200 metres (650 ft)
		Altitude : 200 - 350 meters (650 - 1150 ft).
		Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months
