The BRET BROTHERS Wines
MACON-VINZELLES « Le Clos de Grand-Père  »

Under BRET BROTHERS for the 2004 vintage, this plot actually belongs to our maternal grand-father. This cuvée will be a La Soufrandière wine of the vintage 2005. Let us be patient…
Our Mâcon-Vinzelles, Pouilly-Vinzelles La Soufrandière’s younger sister, comes from lower down the slope of Pouilly-Vinzelles, in particular from a very old « Clos » on a rocky vein of hard limestone ; the average age of the vines is 50 years. A deliciously fruity wine.

  Technical notes:
Age of Vines : from 20 to 100 + years (50 years on average)
  Surface : approx. 0.70 ha (1.72 acres)
Soil : Clay and limestone. Facing East. Lower part of Pouilly-Vinzelles slope.
  Altitude : 200 metres (650 ft)
Vinification & Ageing : Hand-picked grapes, whole berries pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrel (of 228 liters each) for 11 months
